Fireside Chats

Fireside Chats

President Franklin D. Roosevelt created the New Deal program as part of his first 100 days in office to spur movement in the economy. Over his four terms, FDR addressed the American people through informal radio broadcasts; these became known as the Fireside Chats. Thanks are extended to the Franklin D. Roosevelt Presidential Library and Museum for providing the audio recordings of FDR’s Fireside Chats.
